Hydrogen Peroxide
LS® HP - hydrogen peroxide
A versatile oxidation agent
Hydrogen peroxide is a powerful yet environmentally friendly oxidizing agent that decomposes into oxygen and water. It is an essential ingredient in multiple applications, from the deepest mines to outer space.
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is used for bleaching of both mechanical and chemical pulps, supporting elemental chlorine free (ECF) bleaching, and as the main product in totally chlorine free (TCF) bleaching methods. Hydrogen peroxide is also used in other industries as a specialty oxidant. Other applications include mining, batteries, water treatment, cellulosic textiles, food packaging, and cleaning.
We offer hydrogen peroxide that is concentrated using an energy-efficient and cost-effective solution.
Featured applications where LS® HP is used
Pulp and paper
We offer LS® HP hydrogen peroxide – a strong oxidizing agent used to bleach both mechanical and chemical wood pulp – ECF and TCF processes.
Packaging materials
We offer LS® HP hydrogen peroxide – a strong oxidizing agent used to bleach both mechanical and chemical wood pulp – ECF and TCF processes.
Mining
LS® HP and LS® SC are both used in extraction, leaching, separation, and purification for improving the end-product and the environmental impact.
Batteries
Our LS® HP plays an important role in mining and refining battery grade metals such as lithium, nickel, manganese and cobalt; producing the cathode active material; and recycling these metals from used batteries to give them a second life.
Water treatment
The general effectiveness and harmless by-products of hydrogen peroxide has made it a natural solution for treating industrial and municipal wastewater.
Textile
In the global initiative to reduce textile waste, LS® HP can be used to decolor and brighten recycled cellulosic fibers to produce high quality textile fibers recirculated.
Food applications
LS® HP F is a high purity food grade suitable for use in applications with FDA Food Chemical Codex standard requirements. It can be used in aseptic packaging and food treatment applications such as decoloring flour, sugar and other products.
Cleaning
LS® HP is an effective disinfectant used in the manufacture of chemicals and detergents, general and hard surface cleaners.
Rocket and Space Propulsion
LS® HP is an effective green chemical with energetic properties of propellant for rocket and space propulsion applications.
Cleaning
LS® HP is an effective green chemical with anti-bacterial and bleaching properties that is widely used in cosmetic industry. In the cosmetics and personal care industry hydrogen peroxide can serve several purposes. Chief among those are its roles as bleaching agent, its use as an antiseptic, and as a preservative. The way that the hydrogen peroxide works in each case is similar, its oxidative powers at the core of its use.
Pharmaceuticals
LS® HP is a sustainable solutions for Pharmaceuticals. Hydrogen Peroxide is used throughout the healthcare industry and by consumers to clean and disinfect. It is used as an antimicrobial and oxidizing agent and can be found in first aid antiseptics used to clean wounds.

The pulp and paper industry uses hydrogen peroxide as a bleaching agent and as a reducing agent in the production of chlorine dioxide. It is also a common bleaching agent used in the textile industry. Hydrogen peroxide is used in the manufacture of both inorganic and organic chemicals and for the surface treatment of metals. The gentle effectiveness and harmless by-products of hydrogen peroxide have made it a natural for environmental remediation applications and treating industrial and municipal wastewater. Its bactericidal properties make it useful in various water and food disinfection applications, as well. Hydrogen peroxide, under a strict marketing authorization is also used to treat parasites in Aquaculture.
